I am genuinely baffled by this horribly inconsistent behavior by our government. I wonder... could these problems have been avoided with an "Intelligence Czar" (hereafter: Inteliczar) who is in the White House?
Let's face it - Bush doesn't want the inteliczar in the White House because he doesn't want the inteliczar to have too much influence on the administration - not the other way around. Revealing the identity of "Mohammad Naeem Noor Khan" was a political move, and the inteliczar would have tried to keep them from doing it. One would hope.
I'm too tired to blather on and on about this, but the point is that the Bush administration is apparently looking at things in light of the election, when they should be keeping their eye on the goal: eliminating or rendering useless al Qaeda. If they didn't let bs political nonsense enter into nearly everything they do, I could at least respect them, despite disagreeing with some of their strategies. As it stands, they lack integrity.
Inteliczar. Sounds like the name of a Transformer. Could you imagine Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Inteliczar fighting the evil Megatron? Maybe Inteliczar would be a Decepticon, though. Hmm. I wish I could remember all the transformers. Then I could match those characters up with various political figures. Cheney or Rumsfeld would be Megatron. Al Sharpton would be Optimus Prime. Ashcroft would have to be Starscream. Kucinich would be Bumblebee. They're More Than Meets The Eye. Rad.|||109219413084490908|||Inteliczar
