This attack against Kerry's military service is shameful. This is on the level of criticizing Bush for drinking and partying when he was younger. It's ugly, it's irrelevant, and it distracts people from what they should be paying attention to.

Swift Boat is just trying to corral the Vet vote for Bush. Vote for whoever you want, but don't listen to this garbage.

I really wish the Bush administration would have condemned the ad. Instead, they said, "[the administration] has never and will never question John Kerry's service in Vietnam. The election will be about the future." Interpret that how you will. Then they pass the buck back to McCain: "[the president] thought he got rid of all of this when he signed the McCain-Feingold bill [regulating campaign financing] into law". That's not subtle.

Great. Bush is doing it again. He denies any responsibility, but stops short of condemning the behavior (or even disputing it - saying, "we won't question his service, this is about the future" is not the same thing as saying, "Those guys really shouldn't be lying like that."). He did the same thing to McCain last election.
