Two more American civilians murdered in Iraq. Simona Pari and Simona Torretta may have been killed too. Just awful.
I bought an iPod. It's pretty smooth. I had a little class on Tue and Wed and had to miss the Al Franken show, so I've been downloading the MP3s and converting them to “Audiobooks”. Which is more complicated than it has to be, but it does work. The MP3 has to be converted to AAC and then marked as an M4B type as opposed to M4A type. Not entirely sure about that last part — I just use an applescript to handle it. The point is I can stop listening to it, listen to a bunch of songs, then come back and it'll pick up where it left off.
What's really neat is that the iPod can speed up audiobooks without raising the pitch. So I can listen to the whole show in an hour or so. Very handy.
Today's wild, random prediction: Kerry's gonna win by a decent margin. Just a hunch.|||109594832208415488|||Ignoring the News
