A draft report by the top U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq concludes no stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction were found, but there was evidence Saddam Hussein intended to resurrect weapons programs, U.S. government sources said on Thursday.
Wait, you mean that a dictator under heavy sanctions intended to resurrect weapons programs? Well then. It's a good thing we invaded under the pretense that he already had them and intended to use them.

Don't people see the difference? Newsflash: most dictators want weapons. That's no big deal. And it's not even that big of a deal if they do have weapons.

Look at what we did to Iraq, and they didn't even have these weapons. Nations don't want these weapons to use them, they want them as a bargaining chip. They want them for protection. That's essentially what the cold war was about, and that's what N. Korea and Iran are doing.

You know, there's a lot of Americans who feel that G. W. Bush is not the legitimate president of the U.S. Some of us feel that he's a little bit of a loose cannon, and that he's indirectly responsible for the deaths of 1,000+ American soldiers. And he's got a lot of weapons. But you don't see any (sane) people advocating illegally or violently ousting Bush.

But no one cares, I guess. I've spoke to many people who still think that there were direct ties between Al Qaeda and Iraq. Doesn't matter how much evidence you present to them—they take a stance of demanding absolute disproof.

I really think that people need to believe that we were justified in doing this. That's why we're still arguing about freakin Vietnam. We'll be arguing about this one for a long time too.|||109543104361397467|||Intent
