Seriously — I know this kind of thing happens, but it seems out of control this year. Toss in the electronic voting and I'm getting genuinely worried. 2000 was bad enough... Al Gore had the good sense to pressure Senators to not let the matter of the presidential election reach the Senate because he would likely cast the tie-breaking vote, which would obviously be insane. Does anyone think Cheney would have the same scruples? But I digress.
