12/10/2004 06:57:00 AM|||Joe|||I forgot my badge today. At the front desk I start filling out the little form to get a temporary badge. The security guard asks for my number. I say 10345 (not putting my real number on a blog — sorry international spies). But I say it like “One-Oh-Three-Four-Five”. The guy says, “Is that an Oh or a Zero?” I had crawled out of bed 40 minutes previously. I mumble “Zero.” He laughs and says, “I was just joking.”

Well boy was my face red when I realized that he was joking. Wooo-weee. Comedy doesn't reach heights like that every day. I mean, how freaking funny is that? He pointed out that people sometimes say Oh instead of Zero. And that Oh is not really a number. Not like Zero. I need to get this guy involved with Flapping Crane. We need more cutting-edge social commentary like that.

That's almost as funny as the joke where you point out to people that when they say “I could care less,” what they actually mean is “I couldn't care less.” That one kills me every time.
