It took minutes and minutes of contemplation to complete this... remastering. Ok, there was no digital remastering. But if there was, I'd put the scene of me yelling at my cell phone back in. And digitally replace me with a talking burrito. But I digress.

Anyway, since we took the last two weeks off for Christmas and New Year's, I thought I'd put the skit up. The sound is terrible. Illegal Brian forgot to bring the attachment that allowed the boom mic to plug into the camera. So the boom became a prop.

There are all sorts of mistakes (besides the sound, of course). Most of them were actually done on purpose. The ones that weren't on purpose include cameraman reflections, though it cracks me up so much that I wish we'd done it on purpose. Also, Pete and Alex inexplicably disappearing during a cutaway was an accident. I think most of the rest really were intentional. Once we realized that we were gonna have mostly lousy sound, we went overboard with some of the absurdity.

To be honest, editing this was kind of difficult. Every take was different, so cutting between angles was a bit of a problem. Still, I think it came out alright, for what it is. It's kind of incoherent, especially the end, though there are a few very funny moments.

The only scene with me in it sucked, so I cut it out. Though the voice on the walkie-talkie is me. No, that wasn't added in post. I was standing 20 feet from the car with the other radio.

No one laughs at the end (the music and flag) except for us. It's one of those jokes that aren't funny when explained; you just had to be there. But, you know. If you're into incoherent absurdity you may think it's funny.

The skit is here.|||110502525253595007|||How to Buy a Car
