I'm a little concerned by this comment from him, though:In a March 18 interview, Wolfowitz, 61, said it's unlikely he would turn the bank into an organization for furthering democracy, preferring instead to ``keep a degree of separation'' between democracy building and the bank's core mission of economic development and poverty reduction.
Maybe I suck, but I think the world bank should push democracy. Someone tell me why I'm wrong. Seriously. I mean, isn't “economic development” a euphemism for capitalism? I'm not being sarcastic.|||111225499677099359|||Wolfowitz & World Bank
