New skit day. Wheee.
This one was done by just Alex and myself. It's called Paco. It's kind of poking fun at ourselves (Flapping Crane). “Creative Differences”, etc. Plus, I got to apply my limited spanish vocabulary. I.e, the curse words.
This one was interesting because it required a lot of interesting editing. Most of the stuff I've done so far has been more focused on straight edits and consistency than on whiz-bang effects. That's not to say that this is a special effects bonanza — it's not — but I am getting more comfortable with keyframes and motion.
However, Final Cut is driving me nuts. Nested sequences in particular. Certain sound clips will cause the whole soundtrack to go mute for the duration of the clip when nested a certain number of times. It doesn't make any sense, and it almost negates the advantage of nested sequences, since I have to “un-nest” them to a certain extent, export just the audio, re-import that audio and match it up to the video. It's not particularly hard, but it is tedious and irritating. I may have to dig around to see if anyone's figured this one out.
There's one scene that I may go back and fix. It's the transition from Paco's brief “flashback”. It might be hard to tell from the online vid, but the transition is kind of dumb.
UPDATE: I may have solved the nesting problem. Word.|||111720907871771862|||New Skit: Paco
