For politics, I've enjoyed American Dissent Radio. It seems to lean towards moderate liberalism. It's overall well-done. I haven't found any conservative-leaning podcasts that I've liked. Still looking. Part of the problem is that I don't like exasperated rants, and most conservative podcasts I've come across are like that. I do like the podcasts of the two 2600 shows, which seem to express a bit of a mix of views. Or at least nothing that could be boiled down to liberalism or conservatism.
I've listened to a little of In Our Time, which I think is a BBC radio show, and I like it too.
Most of the rest of the stuff I've been listening to is not particularly good. Sometimes entertaining, but by no means good.
I guess our RSS feed for Flapping Crane has been submitted to some podcasting sites. We'll see what happens. Though we don't, of course, do anything like a podcast. It's certainly not a vlog. So I'll call it an RSS feed with enclosures to distribute our skits. Wow, what a sexy way to put it.|||112187228992444857|||Podcasting7/20/2005 08:33:00 AM||| cczernia|||I just spent 1/2 hour last night looking into the podcasting thing. Specifically looking for a "This American Life" one and I couldn't find it! I even went to the TAL website and I saw a thing where I could download episodes for $3 but nothing about podcasting :/
I did subscribe to a Morning Edition podcast but havn't listened to it yet. Otherwise their is too much stuff and I can't pick anything.7/20/2005 08:41:00 AM||| Joe|||They do offer podcasts, but it costs money. I've considered using Audio Hijack to capture episodes and put them in itunes.
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff to pick from. Which is why I put up some of the ones that I've found to be pretty good.8/06/2005 12:09:00 PM||| |||Conservative podcasts that aren't shrill? Try Hoover Institution's (stanford u.) "Uncommon Knowledge"...great show...and free.
