8/16/2005 09:45:00 AM|||Joe|||Ok, I'm no longer worried about impressing anyone with our skits. Here's why. The Brothers Chaps recently put out a new toon on Homestarrunner.com called Cool Things. I enjoyed it, but then I have that appreciation for the surreal and absurd. But here's the deal: people still find stuff to complain about. Fans, even. I checked some forums. People are saying, "Meh, not bad", "Strong Bad shouldn't be in it", "Too random", etc.

If even those guys are getting comments like that, then I'm not gonna worry.

The only change we're making is we're going to concentrate a little more on shorter skits. Because apparently everyone on the net has ADHD.

One comment we got was from someone saying we should cut out all the non-funny parts of Neighbors. As if the entire thing needs to induce non-stop, hysterical laughter. And honestly, I have no idea what part(s) we would cut out. I know not everyone sees the humor in the Morgan Freeman Sock Puppet parts, but it kills me. About the only scene that could maybe cut (and we actually discussed cutting, way back when) was the scene where Alex shoots Steph. Speaking of, I still need to add a fart to that scene. No, really.

Ok, so re-reading this, it sounds like I'm all grumpy or something. I'm actually not.|||112421225850482674|||I'm Not Worried8/17/2005 09:23:00 AM|||Blogger cczernia|||Good call on making the skits shorter. Some of the longer ones seemed to have problems with pacing and would just drag.
